Let us try to pair you with another conference participant.
Please keep in mind a couple of things:
1. We only pair participants for the days of the actual event - Thursday to Monday. (Tuesday for those joining us on Fire Island for the RoundDown)
2. Let the Housing Chair know the dates of your arrival and departure so that he can pair you with someone who is also staying for the same number of days.
3. GSI is not responsible for paying for rooms. To those seeking a roommate, one person will need to *make a reservation and then the pair will need to decide their preferred method and timeline. Once you are paired up with a roommate, you must commit to your roommate and honor your commitment to share the hotel costs. You are legally responsible and obligated to pay the person reserving the room.

Our upscale conference hotel features spacious rooms, numerous amenities, pool and fitness center. Although it's located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, it offers a tranquil sanctuary once inside. GSM+ participants enjoy discounted room rates per night, with further discounts if you share a room. All guests will be charged for one night plus taxes when making their reservation - it's non-refundable. After you register, you'll receive a confirmation email with the hotel discount booking link. Like any hotel reservation, a hold for your entire stay will be put on your card upon check-in. It'll be charged through at check-out.

*Someone needs to reserve the room and leave a credit/debit card number to hold the room. The card on file is charged when you check-out of the hotel on the last day of the conference. If you reserve a room and don't show up, then your card will be charged. It is between you and your roommate to handle reimbursements like Venmo and such. You are legally responsible and obligated to pay the person reserving the room. There is NOT a Resort/Destination Fee for GSM bookings. All guests will be charged for one night plus taxes when making their reservation - this is nonrefundable because a commitment is a commitment.
